World of Wine Festival

Location: Del Rio Vineyards in Gold Hill, Oregon 97526

The World of Wine Festival (WOW) is the Rogue Valley's premier wine event -- showcasing outstanding wines made exclusively with Southern Oregon grapes. WOW showcases the expertise of local wine grape growers and the creativity of regional winemakers with a delicious array of gourmet foods and live music prepared by Southern Oregon’s premier restaurants and artisan producers. This year’s event, which is sponsored by the Rogue Valley Winegrowers Association (RVWA) and the Southern Oregon Winery Association (SORWA) will be held outdoors under a festive and spacious tent in the middle of picturesque Del Rio Vineyard near Gold Hill, Oregon. Cooled by evening breezes, festival guests will be able to sample the finest wines from over 40 Southern Oregon wineries, while enjoying a delicious assortment of artisan foods, cheeses and desserts from the many outstanding restaurants and artisan producers throughout Southern Oregon. Attendees may also dance to live music or relax under the stars in an alfresco seating area outside the tent. Once again, a silent auction will be held to benefit the continued efforts of our “non-profit” organizations to build awareness for Southern Oregon wines, while preserving the unique agricultural heritage of our small-family vineyards and wineries. Only 500 tickets are available and WOW always sells out. Tickets are $75 each and can be purchased starting June 1, 2010.  Please check The World of Wine Festival website for further information.
Cost: Adults $8, Children 6 to 12 years is $3 and 5 and under are free.

4th Annual Ride the Rogue
A Southern Oregon Cycling Adventure!

Date: 9/18/2010 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Join us for the 4th Annual Ride the Rogue Event on Saturday, September 18th, 2010 at Palmerton Park in Rogue River, Oregon. This year’s event offers exciting new ride routes, gourmet feast, live music and lots of fun and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
All rides and hikes take you through stunning areas of natural beauty and colorful history. From the majestic Table Rocks of Sam’s Valley, the sparkling Rogue River, the vineyards of Applegate Valley and the lush splendor of Evans Valley, the experience will be one you won’t soon forget.
You won’t want to miss the post race celebration at the Palmerton Park Arboretum, a beautiful park nestled along the banks of sparkling Evans Creek. Big trees, green lawns, a pedestrian suspension bridge and the friendly and supportive community make this an amazing place to hold the RTR event. This is also why we limit the amount of riders to 1200 as this location is special and it would be difficult to replace without losing the true quality of the experience.
Ride the Rogue is more than a ride or hike, it showcases the splendor of Southern Oregon’s incredible beauty, it’s people and epicurean delights. All proceeds support the development of the Rogue River Recreational Corridor and Greenway project.
For more information, please visit The Ride the Rogue website.
